Malie Donn sets Aug. 7 release for new single “Holiday” ahead of debut album The Golden Child

Jamaican dancehall artist Malie Donn has announced the release of his new single “Holiday,” arriving August 7 via VP Records, giving listeners an early taste of what’s to come ahead of his debut studio album, The Golden Child, which arrives in full on September 4.

Produced as a preview of the 21-track album, “Holiday” introduces the next chapter in Malie Donn’s career, showcasing the sound and energy that have earned him a growing audience across Jamaica and internationally. The single sets the tone for The Golden Child, a project that captures the versatility of one of dancehall’s fastest-rising artists.

Spanning 21 tracks, The Golden Child blends contemporary dancehall with melodic records and street-driven storytelling, exploring themes of ambition, loyalty, relationships and perseverance. The album features collaborations with Squash, Byron Messia, DJ Frass, Antuwang, Puppy (Rifle), Javo Donn, Rated R and DRXGZ, while keeping Malie Donn’s distinctive voice at the forefront.

In addition to digital and streaming platforms, The Golden Child will also be available on LP vinyl, giving fans the opportunity to own a physical edition of Malie Donn’s debut studio album.

Speaking on the project, Malie Donn says the album reflects both his journey and his evolution as an artist.
