JN Money Services has launched a new mobile app allowing customers in several of its major diaspora markets to send money and manage transactions from their phones.
The JN Money App, launched September 21, is available to customers in the United Kingdom, Canada and 12 U.S. states, as the Jamaican-owned remittance company expands its digital services.
Customers can use the app to create an account, verify their identity, add recipients and send money without visiting a JN Money branch or agent.
Horace Hines, general manager of JN Money Services, said the launch comes as customers increasingly expect faster and more convenient access to remittance services.
“It moves us beyond traditional transaction channels into a more scalable, always-on ecosystem that meets our customers where they are,” Hines said.
He said customers can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and complete transactions through the platform in fewer steps.
“The JN Money App is a great option for customers who value convenience or may not live near one of our locations,” Hines said. “It complements the personalized service provided by our branches and agents across the diaspora, giving customers the flexibility to choose the channel that best suits their needs while staying connected to loved ones in Jamaica.”
Hines said the move also reflects broader changes in the remittance industry as more customers shift toward mobile financial services and expect round-the-clock access.
“People want to send money anytime, anywhere, and they expect it to be quick, transparent and reliable,” he said.
The app launch follows JN Money’s expansion into nine additional countries during the past financial year, as well as its entry into new U.S. states and additional locations in the Cayman Islands.
