France-based airline La Compagnie announces flights to the Caribbean

La Compagnie, a Paris, France-based airline renowned for its business-class-only flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and various European destinations, has announced an expansion of its operations.

On July 26, it confirmed plans to commence seasonal services to the Caribbean, utilizing its Airbus A321neo aircraft that features 76 fully flat beds.

The airline’s collaboration with family-owned travel agency, E. Clarke Travel, will allow for the inception of a brand-new scheme, “Travel In Style Journeys” in the Caribbean Islands. 

This novel program brings forth an array of new possibilities for travelers in the Caribbean.

Seasonal services: La Compagnie’s weekly flights to St. Maarten

Starting November 26 and extending till April 14 of next year, La Compagnie will operate seasonal services. The weekly flights, planned every Sunday, will facilitate the commute of passengers from Newark Airport to Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in Simpson Bay, St. Maarten. 

The service includes a morning flight from Newark to St. Maarten, followed by a return journey to Newark on the same afternoon.

La Compagnie’s Chief Executive Officer, Christian Vernet, shared the significance of these new flights. 

“These new flights to St. Maarten are an exciting development for La Compagnie as they mark our official entry into the Caribbean market. With leisure travel expected to remain strong, we’re thrilled to partner with Travel in Style Journeys to offer an effortless path to some of the destination’s most sought-after islands,” Vernet said.

Travelers can indulge in week-long stays in luxurious hotels and villas courtesy of E. Clarke Travel. The agency provides accommodations in St. Maarten, Anguilla, and Saint Barth.

Additionally, it takes care of coordinating flights, hotel stays, and other trip specifics, such as exclusive amenities and a private concierge service for high-end travel experiences.

Wahid Essafi, the CEO of E. Clark Travel, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture. Essafi said that they at E. Clarke Travel, are always looking for ways to better serve their clients. 

“With Travel In Style Journeys and La Compagnie, we are creating a corridor of comfort and trust to bring our existing clients as well as new clients from New York to St. Maarten and beyond,” Essafi further said. 

Beyond flights: La Compagnie’s unique services and onboard luxuries

La Compagnie has been known to offer other unique experiences to attract travelers, including an around-the-world cruise launched last year. 

The comprehensive tour priced at €39,000 ($43,000) incorporated stopovers at numerous global destinations like Rio de Janeiro, Machu Picchu, Easter Island, Fiji, Singapore, Hanoi, and Dubai, before a final return to Paris. Each destination came with an individually tailored travel plan.

Onboard amenities included ultra-soft mattress toppers, complimentary WiFi, large-screen entertainment systems, and exquisite meal options from a Michelin-star chef. A sommelier-curated selection of wines added to the overall premium flying experience.
