Emerging reggae artist Zaila-Jazz has released her latest single, “STONY,” along with an official music video on Tuesday, April 6, 2026.
Blending reggae roots with a modern, conscious edge, the track is produced by German of Emudio Records and accompanied by a video directed by Gareth Daley. The release delivers a playful yet satirical love story inspired by her upbringing in Stony Hill, paying tribute to the community that helped shape her identity and artistry.
With smooth lyricism layered over reggae rhythms, “STONY” explores themes of love, community, and cultural expression in Jamaica.
Raised in a musical household, Zaila-Jazz says her early exposure to music and culture heavily influenced her sound, which blends traditional reggae with contemporary storytelling.
Since her debut single “Abeng” and her featured collaboration “Lifted” alongside reggae veteran Sizzla, she has steadily gained recognition within the reggae scene. Her track “Dangerous” has also been gaining traction on UK charts, while her breakout viral moment came with “S.M.D – Sex, Money, Drugs,” which surpassed one million views across digital platforms and expanded her international audience.
She recently performed at a Louise Bennett benefit concert in Florida and is preparing for upcoming projects, including a collaboration with dancehall artist Rytikal on a single titled “One More Time.” She is also scheduled to perform in the British Virgin Islands in May 2026 for her first appearance there.
Speaking on the release, Zaila-Jazz described “STONY” as a reflection of her personal journey.
“The journey so far has been both humbling and empowering,” she said. “Growing up in Stony Hill shaped who I am, not just as an artist but as a person. ‘STONY’ is my way of celebrating where I come from while telling a story people everywhere can connect to. I hope listeners feel the energy, essence, and the pride that comes with representing your roots.”
With her growing catalogue and distinctive blend of reggae tradition and modern storytelling, Zaila-Jazz continues to position herself as one of the emerging voices in contemporary reggae music.
