The album’s Billboard entry adds to Kartel’s track record on the chart. His highest placement remains No. 2, achieved with King of the Dancehall in 2016. His previous appearance was in August 2024 with First Week Out, which peaked at No. 8.
Kartel’s chart performance comes during a renewed phase in his career following major legal developments in 2024. The UK Privy Council quashed his murder conviction that year, and Jamaica’s Court of Appeal later declined to order a retrial, bringing the long-running case to a close. He was subsequently released from prison in July 2024.
With God & Time, Kartel continues to maintain a strong international footprint in dancehall, with collaborations that bridge Caribbean, African, and Latin music markets while reinforcing his enduring influence on the genre.
