Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, the head of Jamaica's Constabulary Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), says there is no evidence that Rushane Patterson, the person of interest in the death of Aneka 'Slickianna' Townsend, left the country.

Lindsay stated that no record shows that Patterson has left the country.

Patterson was identified as a person of interest after the social media influencer’s body was found at a beach in St. James last Friday.

Police sources reported that said that based on preliminary investigations, Townsend was last seen alive with Rushane Patterson at a well-known restaurant in Hanover.

Reports are that at about 9:30 a. m, on Friday, persons went to the beach and discovered the partially decomposing body floating in the water.

The body was subsequently fished from the water by members of the Marine police.

Townsend's body was identified by her mother the following day.

Patterson was asked to turn himself into the police by 5:00 pm on Saturday, but he has not yet done so with several sources reporting that he left on a flight from the Donald Sangster International Airport headed to Atlanta, but Lindsay says there is no evidence to support this claim.
