Jamaica’s iconic sprinter, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is expected to recover from an injury she suffered during the World Athletics Championships recently held in Budapest, Hungary.

A glimmer of hope: Medical update

After 4x100m relay final, which marked her concluding race in the championship, Fraser-Pryce was taken to the hospital for examination. 

Reports are that the injury is not severe, suggesting a promising recovery period.

Previous achievements despite setbacks

According to reports, this season was already a challenging one for the sprint legend. Starting late due to a knee injury, Fraser-Pryce, 36, still managed to clinch a bronze in the 100m sprint and contributed to Jamaica’s silver win in the 4x100m relay.

Fraser-Pryce is said to be in high spirits despite the setback, fueling hopes for a full recovery.
