An 18-year-old American fugitive wanted in New York on multiple criminal charges and was apprehended during an operation in Manchester, Jamaica last year has been extradited.

Matthew Pinnock is wanted for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, among other charges.

He was served with a Provisional Warrant of Arrest under the Extradition Act of 1991. He was escorted out of the island on Wednesday by American law enforcement agents.

It is reported that on November 23, 2022, Pinnock was arrested by members of the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team and the special operations team from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC).

The police team went to Greenvale in Manchester, conducted a search, and found Pinnock hiding.

The American fugitive was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Kingston Central Police Station pending his extradition hearing.
