The cheapest months to travel to the Caribbean

A stay in the Caribbean is a dream vacation for many across the globe. Unlike a lot of the world, there’s no real off-season in the Caribbean. The promise of eternal summer is a beacon pulling everyone who at the sight of winter has flashbacks to shoveling, shivering, and being all-around miserable.

Hurricane Season

While it is almost always winter somewhere, the Caribbean islands are the least busy during hurricane season. The hurricane season starts in June and peaks in around September to November, which means resorts slash their prices to be especially inciting as the prospect of overcast skies and torrential rain dims the paradise fantasy.

Not to worry, tourist areas such as resorts and hotels are often designed with storms in mind so even if you mistime a trip, you might be stuck indoors but you will be perfectly safe.

High Season

No matter what month you decide to travel to the Caribbean, the islands surely offer an ongoing respite. Throughout the year, travelers can expect warm waters and soft sands, and always wear only one layer of clothing. This makes the winter months, the time when those in the western hemisphere flock to the Caribbean the most, making it the worst time to visit the Caribbean if you’re price-conscious or looking to avoid a crowd.
