The World Cruise Awards, now in their sixth year, recognize and celebrate excellence across the global cruise sector. The annual awards program honors leading cruise destinations, terminals, cruise lines, travel agencies, ships and other organizations contributing to the industry.
Nassau Cruise Port’s nomination reflects its continued focus on enhancing the guest experience and strengthening Nassau’s position as a premier Caribbean cruise destination. The Bahamas’ simultaneous nomination for Best Cruise Destination highlights the broader appeal of the country’s cruise tourism offering.

As a gateway to The Bahamas and the world’s largest transit cruise port, Nassau Cruise Port continues to invest in culture, hospitality, entertainment and guest amenities.
Recent developments include a yacht marina capable of accommodating vessels 100 feet and larger, along with new food and beverage offerings such as Blue Marlin Seafood Restaurant and Bahama Bay Pool & Day Club.
The port has also reached significant passenger milestones, including a record single-day passenger count of more than 33,000 guests, underscoring Nassau’s growing appeal within the global cruise industry.
Nassau Cruise Port welcomed 6.1 million passengers in 2025 and is on track to welcome approximately 6.7 million passengers in 2026, reflecting continued growth and demand for The Bahamas as a cruise destination.
Voting for the 2026 World Cruise Awards opened July 13 and runs through Aug. 21. The nominees receiving the most votes in each category will be named the 2026 winners.
The awards will be presented at the World Cruise Awards Gala Ceremony in Jamaica on Oct. 14.
