Joshua Bishop’s heroics propel West Indies Academy to first innings lead
At Warner Park in Basseterre, the West Indies Academy secured a crucial first-innings lead against Leeward Islands Hurricanes, courtesy of an impressive performance by Joshua Bishop.
Bishop’s aggressive knock of 48, supported by Mbeki Joseph’s valuable contribution of 42, propelled the Academy to a significant lead of 40 runs.
In the encounter between West Indies Academy and Leeward Islands Hurricanes at St Kitts, Hurricanes faced an uphill battle as they struggled against the bowling attack of the Academy. Despite Mikyle Louis’s determined fifty, the Hurricanes found themselves on the back foot against the disciplined bowling performance of the Academy.
Unfortunately, the match between Trinidad and Tobago Red Force and Guyana Harpy Eagles at Conaree in St Kitts witnessed disruptions due to inclement weather for the second consecutive day.
