Sunshine Snacks powers Reggae Boyz in final push toward FIFA 2026

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has secured a major boost to its FIFA 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, proudly announcing Sunshine Snacks Jamaica as an official sponsor of the Reggae Boyz Road to 2026 initiative.

This partnership unites one of the Caribbean’s most recognized snack brands with the island’s most celebrated sports team at a critical juncture — six decisive matches stand between the Reggae Boyz and a coveted spot on football’s biggest stage.

A timely boost for the campaign

“We welcome Sunshine Snacks Jamaica to the Reggae Boyz family at a pivotal moment in our journey,” declared Michael Ricketts, JFF President. “Their support not only energizes our campaign but puts us in a stronger position to prepare meaningfully for the road ahead.”

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Sunshine Snacks will play a dynamic role on home match days, engaging fans with giveaways and in-stadium activations that celebrate the Boyz and rally national pride.

Sunshine Snacks: Proudly Caribbean, proudly Jamaican

Shantell Hill Afonso, Marketing Manager at Sunshine Snacks Jamaica, emphasized the brand’s deep regional connection: “We are honored to partner with the Reggae Boyz on this historic campaign. As a proudly Caribbean brand, Sunshine Snacks is committed to celebrating the best of our region through sport on the global stage. Supporting the Boyz is a natural fit — just like the team, it’s our time to shine. We look forward to bringing Jamaica to the world as fans enjoy our brands on the road to World Cup 2026.”

JFF Acting General Secretary Roy Simpson praised the partnership’s broader significance: “The JFF proudly welcomes Sunshine Snacks as a sponsor of the Reggae Boyz. This partnership reflects growing confidence in our national program and reinforces our ‘Football for the People’ mission. With Sunshine Snacks’ support, we bring the game closer to every Jamaican as we push toward World Cup qualification.”

Sustained support for Jamaican football

The agreement also highlights Sunshine Snacks’ ongoing commitment to the sport, noted JFF Ambassador Tanya Lee Perkins, who spearheads the federation’s sponsorship efforts:

“Sunshine Snacks continues to show up for Jamaican football — from their sponsorship of the Jamaica Premier League to now backing our Boyz. The budget for qualification is significant, and the support of sponsors like Sunshine Snacks makes all the difference.”

The Reggae Boyz resume their qualifying campaign with two crucial fixtures in September — away to Bermuda on the 5th, followed by a showdown against Trinidad & Tobago at Kingston’s National Stadium on the 9th. Key match windows in October and November will determine whether Jamaica secures its place among the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup finalists.
