The couple, who have been dating for nearly two years, shared the joyous news with their followers on social media.

Both athletes posted a video of the romantic proposal, which took place the day before. Surrounded by family and friends, the two were seen enjoying an intimate evening together. Lyles, the American 100m gold medallist from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, led Bromfield, a Jamaican Olympic bronze medallist, to an outdoor setup featuring a glowing “Will you marry me?” sign.

Lyles then got down on one knee and presented the ring to Bromfield, who happily accepted. The heartwarming video was captioned, “To my future wife, I will love you forever.”

The pair first connected in 2017, but it wasn’t until 2022 that they reconnected and began dating.

The announcement has sparked an outpouring of love from the sports world.
