In a match that experienced multiple rain delays and was eventually reduced to 47 overs per side, the Scorpions, having won the toss, were bowled out for a total of 181, with just one ball left in their innings. Despite several Jamaica batsmen getting starts, none managed to convert their starts into substantial scores that could challenge the Harpy Eagles.

Brad Barnes was the top scorer for Jamaica, amassing 36 runs, while Rovman Powell (33), Chadwick Walton (26), Andre McCarthy (23), Odean Smith (20), and Nkrumah Bonner (20) all showed promise but failed to capitalize on their starts. Nial Smith was the standout bowler for Guyana, claiming 3-26 from 8.5 overs, while Kevin Sinclair took 3-48 from his 10 overs.

In response, Guyana accomplished the target of 184 runs in just 39 overs, showcasing their dominance in the contest. The successful chase was guided by half-centuries from Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Shimron Hetmyer. Chanderpaul played a pivotal role with an impressive 77 runs off 110 balls, achieving his highest List A score, while Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 62 runs from 53 balls, featuring five boundaries and two sixes. Captain Tevin Imlach contributed a valuable 30 runs to the innings.

Shalome Parnell was the most successful bowler for the Scorpions, claiming 2-26 off six overs. Unfortunately for the Scorpions, their season came to an end with six losses and one no-result in seven games.

With this resounding victory, the Guyana Harpy Eagles have earned their spot in the CG United Super50 Cup semi-finals. They will join the Leeward Islands Hurricanes, the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force, and the Barbados Pride in the race for the tournament’s ultimate prize.
