The St. Lucian government made a startling revelation on Wednesday, uncovering a fraudulent social media account impersonating Prime Minister Philip J Pierre.

The Office of the Prime Minister issued a stern statement, denouncing the deceitful actions orchestrated through various online platforms.

Deception unveiled

The impersonated account, masquerading under the Prime Minister’s identity, was exposed for its nefarious intentions of soliciting money under false pretenses.

Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, the statement categorically clarified that the deceptive account holds no affiliation with Philip J Pierre whatsoever.

Vigilance advocated

In light of this disturbing discovery, the St. Lucian government urged the public to exercise vigilance and caution when encountering online profiles claiming association with Prime Minister Philip J Pierre.

The statement stressed that any legitimate social media presence representing the Prime Minister would never request monetary transactions, banking details, or personal information from individuals.

Citizens were implored to promptly report encounters with the fake account, particularly if solicited for money or personal information, to the respective social media platforms.
