Following a breakout debut that exceeded all expectations earlier this year, Seychella Beach Society is set to return on August 15 with a new concept inspired by the globally popular reality television series Love Island.

The event, which will be staged at East Beach in St. Mary under the theme “The Beach Becomes The Villa,” aims to build on the momentum generated by its inaugural staging earlier this year.

Produced by the team behind Scream, one of the Caribbean’s largest Halloween events, Seychella Beach Society was originally conceived as a small, invitation-only gathering for ambassadors and friends during a quiet weekend in February. Organizers said there were no major marketing efforts or extensive planning behind the event, which was intended simply to create a relaxed space for people to connect and enjoy Jamaica’s coastline.

However, word of the gathering quickly spread through social media and personal networks, generating significant interest. Within six days, the event reportedly attracted more than 1,500 patrons and became one of the most talked-about beach experiences of the season.

“The first staging was never part of a grand strategy,” said Jhe’Vonté Webster, chief executive officer of Civica Society. “It was simply about bringing people together in a beautiful setting. The response showed us there was an appetite for something different — something that felt organic, elevated and community-driven.”

Organizers said the overwhelming response demonstrated a growing demand for authentic lifestyle experiences centered on music, culture and social connection.

This year’s staging will introduce a Love Island-inspired concept, transforming the beachfront venue into a villa-themed environment complete with immersive experiences, curated entertainment and premium lifestyle activations.

According to the organizers, the goal is to continue expanding beyond traditional party formats by creating experiences that encourage engagement and community building.

“We’ve already established Scream as one of the premier events in the Caribbean and perfected the execution behind that experience,” said Phillip Morrison, chief financial officer of Civica Society. “Now we’re focused on expanding our portfolio and creating new experiences that make waves within the industry. Seychella represents that next chapter — an opportunity to build something unique that people can genuinely connect with.”

With growing support and increasing interest from patrons, organizers said they envision Seychella Beach Society evolving into more than a beach party, positioning it instead as a lifestyle brand focused on culture, connection and memorable experiences.
