Jamaican athlete Hansle Parchment honored with key to Morant Bay

Jamaican Olympic 110m hurdles champion Hansle Parchment recently experienced a celebratory moment when he received the key to Morant Bay township. 

Mayor Hubert Williams of St Thomas bestowed the honor upon Parchment, a proud native and alumnus of Morant Bay High School, at a special ceremony located at Colonel’s Cove in the Jamaican parish.

An inspirational figure

At 33 years of age, Parchment not only has Olympic accolades to his name but also recently secured a silver medal at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, in August. 

The athlete expressed his gratitude for the recognition, acknowledging the tremendous support he has received from his hometown.
