Guyana’s president urges private sector to seize investment opportunities

Guyana’s President Irfaan Ali has urged the local private sector to capitalize on the burgeoning investment prospects that have arisen as the country becomes a hotspot for large-scale development initiatives.

President Ali said his administration remains committed to fostering an environment ripe with opportunities for the country’s private sector to thrive. 

He emphasized the need for increased synergy among investors and the implementation of forward-thinking strategies that align with Guyana’s evolving development trajectory.

Tourism sector: A promising frontier

Among the sectors highlighted by President Ali as particularly promising for local investment is tourism. 

He believes that this industry is on the brink of a dramatic surge in the coming months, making it an ideal arena for local businesses to explore.

He mentioned that the tourism sector is on the verge of a takeoff in the coming months.
