Moliy had entered this year’s awards with three nominations tied to “Shake It to the Max (Fly) Remix,” including Dancehall Collaboration and Dancehall Video of the Year.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Lady Lava was another major winner of the night after leading this year’s field with nine nominations.
The self-styled Queen of Steam retained her Zess Artiste of the Year title and was also named Female Soca Artiste of the Year. She added a third award for Chutney Soca Song of the Year for “Cyah Pick,” her collaboration with Ravi B.
Kes took home Male Soca Artiste of the Year, while Grenada’s V’ghn won Jab Artiste of the Year and Dominica’s Ridge was named Bouyon Artiste of the Year.
Jamaican dancehall artiste Ayetian also celebrated a career milestone, securing his first Caribbean Music Award with a win for Best New Artiste.
Beyond the competitive categories, the ceremony paid tribute to several Caribbean music veterans.
Calypso legend Calypso Rose received the Elite Calypso Honor, while Haitian kompa star Alan Cavé was presented with the Elite Konpa Honor.
Jamaican dancehall veteran Patra received a Lifetime Achievement Honor in recognition of her career and influence on Caribbean music internationally, while Belizean-American rapper Shyne was also presented with a special honor.
The 2026 staging represented a significant change for the Caribbean Music Awards, bringing the event to Trinidad and Tobago for the first time and placing the ceremony in one of the region’s major music and cultural centers.
