Voters are reminded not to wait until Election Day to cast their ballot. During early voting, registered voters can go to any of the 23 sites throughout the county, however, they must go to their assigned precinct on Election Day. Wait times for all 23 sites will be posted on the Elections Department’s website and will be updated throughout the day, so voters can make an informed decision as to when and where is most convenient for them.
Voters are also encouraged to review their customized sample ballot to prepare in advance of heading to the polls.
It is important that voters know this election is for all voters regardless of party affiliation. While Florida is a closed primary State, meaning that only voters who are registered members of a political party may vote in their respective party’s primary election. However, there are a number of non-partisan races and questions that all Miami-Dade County voters will be able to vote in, regardless of party affiliation.
Lastly, as a reminder, per a change in Florida law, all vote-by-mail requests expired on December 31st, 2022. Voters who want to vote by mail for the 2024 election cycle are required to renew their request. It takes less than three minutes to request a ballot online. Voters are encouraged to do this immediately.
