Body suspected to be missing American tourist found in Puerto Rico
The Puerto Rican police have reported that they found a body while searching for missing American tourist Amanda Lynn Webster.
Over the weekend, members of a search party located a body in close proximity to the Rio Blanco neighborhood, sparking concerns that it may be connected to the disappearance of the 44-year-old visitor.
Identity and cause of death yet to be determined
In a statement released by the local police, they confirmed the discovery of a body but expressed the difficulty of establishing its gender or discerning any signs of violence at this early stage.
Despite the uncertainty, Amanda Webster’s mother took to Facebook, asserting that the recovered body indeed belonged to her daughter.
Amanda Lynn Webster disappears on October 11
Reports are that Amanda Lynn Webster had gone missing since October 11.
Her disappearance was initially reported by the owner of the rental property where she had been staying, as she failed to follow through with the expected check-out procedure.
Reports are that her personal belongings, as well as her rental car, were left on the property.
A teacher from Indianapolis
Before her mysterious disappearance, Amanda Lynn Webster had been a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was employed as a dedicated teacher at Thompson Elementary School.
