Independence Day festivities across South Florida are set to stretch beyond Broward County this year, with new large-scale celebrations in Miami Beach and North Miami joining the region’s packed lineup of parades, concerts, drone shows, and fireworks displays.

From beachfront concerts on Ocean Drive to waterfront gatherings at Biscayne Bay, communities across South Florida are preparing for one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year, marking the nation’s 250th Independence Day anniversary.

Weston kicks off early celebrations on July 3

The City of Weston will once again lead early festivities with its Hometown Fireworks Celebration on July 3 at Weston Regional Park.

This year’s event will commemorate both the United States’ 250th anniversary and Weston’s 30th year of incorporation. Activities begin at 6 p.m. and include children’s entertainment, DJ performances, and live music from Frequency Band, which will cover Motown, R&B classics, and contemporary hits.

The evening will conclude with a large fireworks display.

Casinos, parks, and beaches host July 4 events

On July 4, celebrations expand across the county, with major gatherings planned in Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, Margate, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale.

At Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with food trucks, live entertainment, and cash bars. A fireworks and drone show is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., launched from a nearby parking area.

Coral Springs offers full-day family festival

The City of Coral Springs will host its celebration at Mullins Park, starting at 5:30 p.m., with fireworks set for 8:30 p.m.

The event includes sports zones, inflatables, arts and crafts, and food trucks. Live music will run throughout the evening, featuring performances by The Introverts, Should Have Been a Cowboy, and a Bon Jovi tribute band.

Deerfield Beach returns to the shoreline

In Deerfield Beach, the city is bringing its Independence Day celebration back to the beach, featuring live music from multiple bands beginning at 4 p.m.

Performances include Andrew Morris Band, Majesty of Rock, and Gypsy Lane Band. A drone show over the ocean is scheduled for 9 p.m., followed by fireworks.

Margate hosts parade and fireworks

The City of Margate will begin celebrations at 9 a.m. with its annual Fourth of July parade, followed by a picnic and evening concert at Margate Boulevard and State Road 441.

Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m., capping a full day of community activities.

Pompano Beach beachfront extravaganza

Pompano Beach will host its annual July 4 Beach Bash along Pompano Beach Boulevard, with live entertainment starting at 5 p.m.

Drew from Y100 will host the event, with DJ Mike Cooley opening the show. Musical acts include JAM-X The Band and Surfin’ Rascals. Fireworks will be launched offshore near the Fisher Family Pier at 9 p.m.

Fort Lauderdale Beach hosts signature celebration

Fort Lauderdale’s flagship Independence Day Spectacular returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach with live music, games, and family activities.

The event includes bounce houses, contests, food games, and a dedicated kids zone. Country artist Walker Hayes is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by a 30-minute fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.

Officials recommend parking at nearby public garages due to heavy crowds expected along Las Olas Oceanside Park and the beachfront.

Smaller communities add local flair

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea will host its traditional small-town parade at 10 a.m., followed by a family fun day at El Prado Park featuring face painting, water slides, and live entertainment. Fireworks are planned for 9 p.m.

Plantation will begin its celebration with a morning parade, followed by a kids zone, concert, and fireworks at Central Park Ball Fields.

Tamarac will host its All-American Celebration at the Tamarac Sports Complex, featuring live music and a fireworks finale.

Sunrise and Davie offer multi-location events

The City of Sunrise will split its festivities between a morning parade and family activities at City Park, followed by an evening celebration at Amerant Bank Arena featuring live performances and fireworks.

Davie will host a residents-only Independence Day event at Bamford Sports Complex, including live music, food trucks, and a drone show ahead of fireworks. Pre-registration is required.

Pembroke Pines, Miramar, and Hollywood celebrations

Pembroke Pines will host a free evening festival at the Pines Recreation Center with live music, rides, food trucks, and fireworks.

Miramar’s Independence Day Concert at Miramar Regional Park will include a DJ dance party, vendors, and fireworks at 9 p.m., with a $10 parking fee in effect.

Hollywood will celebrate at the Hollywood Beach Bandshell with live entertainment beginning in the afternoon and offshore fireworks at 9 p.m. Officials are expected to manage crowd levels and parking restrictions due to high attendance.

Miami Beach’s Ocean Drive celebration spans the entire day

In Miami Beach, the “4th of July Celebration on Ocean Drive” at Lummus Park will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., combining classical music, car exhibitions, and a nighttime fireworks spectacle.

The event, presented by the Ocean Drive Association in partnership with the City of Miami Beach, will feature an American Made Car Show during the day, followed by evening performances by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival.

The main concert begins at 8:30 p.m., with a 9 p.m. fireworks display synchronized to live orchestral music. The program will include pieces such as the 1812 Overture and compositions honoring U.S. military branches, with the orchestra continuing performances until 10:30 p.m.

Additional weekend programming includes Supercar Sunday, scheduled for the following morning from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring chairs and blankets, with all events open to the public.

North Miami hosts bayfront Independence Day gathering

Also on July 4, the City of North Miami will host its “Independence Celebration by the Bay” at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The waterfront event will feature a community gathering atmosphere along the bay, culminating in a fireworks display as part of a broader recognition of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Officials say the celebration is designed as a family-friendly evening event, bringing residents and visitors together in an open-air setting along Biscayne Bay. Photography and media recording are expected during the festivities.
