USVI Governor welcomes President Biden and First Lady to St. Croix

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. of the U.S. Virgin Islands extends a warm welcome to President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden as they visit the picturesque shores of St. Croix.

A presidential retreat with a purpose

Governor Bryan underscores the significance of President Biden’s choice to seek relax on their island, emphasizing the unique allure and warmth that St. Croix consistently provides. 

The Governor expressed that it is a privilege to host the President and First Lady, a gesture that reaffirms the robust connection between the US Virgin Islands and the broader United States.

A retreat through the years

St. Croix has long held a special place in President Biden’s heart, serving as a cherished tropical getaway since his tenure as Vice President from 2009 to 2017. 

In 2022, the President celebrated the holidays on this Caribbean gem for the first time during his presidential tenure.
