In a significant development for Grenada, the United Kingdom government has allocated a grant of US$20 million.
This funding injection aims to revolutionize the water infrastructure, particularly in the southern region of the island.
Strengthening infrastructure through UK aid
The funds are being made available through the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Fund, which is administered by the Caribbean Development Bank.
National Water and Sewerage Authority to oversee project
The upgrade project was unveiled on Wednesday and will be executed by the National Water and Sewerage Authority.
Commencing later this year, the upgrade project is anticipated to span until early 2026.
