“Big T” Thwaites
The media fraternity in Grenada is mourning the death of Trevor “Big T” Thwaites, a sports broadcaster and journalist who died in hospital early Saturday.
Trevor, a former national cricketer, also won several boxing medals while representing Grenada across the Caribbean.
“We are saddened by the loss of Trevor, whose love and affection was remarkable. As a sports broadcaster and journalist, he made every effort to cover local and regional cricket, especially the exploits of young cricketers,” said Dwain Gill, President of the Grenada Cricket Association.
“He remained one of the biggest fans of Grenada, Windward Islands and West Indies Cricket. His death is a great loss to us in the cricketing fraternity,” Gill added.
Meanwhile, the executive and members of the Media Workers Association (MWAG) said it is saddened on hearing the news “of the death of our colleague”.
“MWAG joins with other media colleagues in extending condolences to his daughter Nisha and the rest of the family.”
