Skillibeng and Shenseea join Moliy on remix of ‘Shake it to the Max (Fly)’

Dancehall stars Skillibeng and Shenseea have teamed up with Ghanaian-American singer Moliy for the official remix of her hit track “Shake it to the Max (Fly).” The remix has already made a significant impact, debuting at #16 on the prestigious Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.

This marks the second appearance on the chart for both Skillibeng and Shenseea. Skillibeng previously made waves last year when he was featured on the remix of Tyla’s “Jump,” which climbed to #3 on the chart. Similarly, Shenseea earned her place on the US Afrobeats Songs chart in 2022 with her collaboration on Fireboy DML’s “Diana,” which peaked at #17.

Produced by South Florida-based Silent Addy, the “Shake it to the Max (Fly)” remix blends Afrobeats with a dancehall touch. Silent Addy, who once lived in Jamaica, has a rich history in the music scene, having worked with notable artists such as Popcaan and Projexx. He was also a DJ for the late dancehall star J Capri and Chi Ching Ching.

Since its release on February 20, the remix has been gaining traction, ranking at #5 on YouTube’s Trending for Music in Jamaica, with over 1.1 million views. The track’s viral success has also carried over to TikTok, where more than 235,000 videos have been created using the sound, contributing to over a million streams on Spotify. In addition, the remix has earned a top 20 spot on the UK Afrobeats Chart.

The song’s viral appeal is amplified by its infectious dance, which has taken over social media platforms. On Monday night, the three artists were spotted filming the official video for the remix at Uptown Mondayz. Moliy also made an appearance at the University of the West Indies in Mona, where she promoted the track and joined students in dancing to the infectious beat.
