Rudy Live heats up Carnival season with electrifying “Finally (Remix)”

Just in time to set the tone for St. Thomas Carnival 2025 and the entire summer festival season, Caribbean soca artist Rudy Live has dropped her latest track — the “Finally (Remix).” It’s pure Carnival energy bottled into a track that demands a wine, a wave, and a full-body groove.

Known for her explosive performances and fierce stage presence, Rudy Live (born Toiya Isaac) is once again reminding the Caribbean and the diaspora why she remains one of soca’s most dynamic forces. The “Finally (Remix)” blends the vibrant spirit of the Virgin Islands with the raw, infectious energy of Dominica — a true cross-island anthem crafted to set road marches, fetes, and parties ablaze.

“Finally is more than a song — it’s a feeling,” Rudy shared. “Carnival is when we reconnect with home, culture, and each other. This remix is for every masquerader, every dancer, and every soul craving that Carnival magic.”

Originally penned by Rudy Live alongside BVI’s Kamau George and produced by Papo Production, the song has been re-energized thanks to Cory Tyson of MCK Music, who put his unmistakable flair on the track. Feeling the fire, Rudy Live pulled in Mr. Benji from Dominica’s powerhouse band Triple K International — and the result is pure soca dynamite.

The release is perfectly timed, as the Caribbean carnival calendar heats up. This year’s carnival season is already in full swing with spectacular celebrations across the region — Trinidad and Tobago Carnival in February kicked things off with its usual grand spectacle, followed by Carriacou Carnival, with Jamaica’s Carnival celebrations recently ending. Now, eyes turn to the Virgin Islands, with St. Thomas Carnival culminating in late April and St. John Carnival coming up in July. Meanwhile, the diaspora is gearing up for Atlanta Caribbean Carnival in May and Toronto’s Caribana this summer, ensuring that soca vibes remain nonstop.

Over the years, Rudy has made history becoming a Double Groovy Soca Monarch Champion in St. Thomas and St. Croix, sharing stages with legends like Machel Montano, Patrice Roberts, Kes, Sean Paul, and Spice, and building her entrepreneurial talent with ventures like Good Ting Skincare, now a bestseller at Ritz-Carlton and Westin properties in St. Thomas.

With her sights set on opening a Caribbean performing arts school and launching a luxury spa, Rudy Live continues to blaze trails far beyond the stage. Her mantra?
“If you put your mind to it, work smart, and stay consistent, you can achieve anything.”

As the steel pans ring out and the fetes fill up, one thing is clear: “Finally (Remix)” is the must-have anthem for every Carnival playlist this year.
