Queen Ifrica has ceremoniously cataplulted to her throne at the top of the Billboard Reggae chart, as her latest studio album “Climb” debuted at #1 this week.
The recently released album has been receiving positive reviews and marks the first time a female has risen to the top of the Billboard Reggae Charts in almost five years.
The controversial but hard-hitting Reggae songstress employed a shrewd marketing ploy when she boosted her album sales with an in-store/acoustic performance event at VP Records’ Florida location.
The album has also climbed up the charts due to a favorable response from an online audience who has been supporting sales with digital album downloads.
After a six year hiatus, Queen Ifrika returned to active recording and performances with a renewed gusto and has underlined her status of one of Reggae foremost female voices of the millennium and beyond.
