The stage came alive in South Florida over the Mother’s Day weekend as audiences packed two outstanding presentations of the hit Patrick Brown comedy-drama Indecent Proposal, presented by Whirlwind Live Performances.
The productions took place on Saturday, May 9, at 8 pm at Everglades High School in Miramar, followed by a special Mother’s Day performance on Sunday, May 10, at 6 pm at the Coral Springs Center for the Performing Arts.
Both nights delivered laughter, excitement, reflection, and pure Caribbean entertainment at its finest.
Written by renowned Jamaican playwright Patrick Brown, Indecent Proposal featured stellar performances from crowd favorites Glen Titus Campbell, Sakina, and Courtney Wilson, who kept patrons thoroughly entertained from beginning to end.
The play balanced comedy with powerful life lessons, leaving audiences laughing while also reflecting on the deeper message behind the production.
One of the major highlights of both nights was the performance by 16-year-old reggae sensation Enoxh, who flew in from Jamaica specifically for the event. The young entertainer delivered two energetic and heartfelt performances that were extremely well received by the large audiences in attendance. Enoxh especially captured hearts with his original song "My Mother," written specifically for the Mother’s Day occasion. Special recognition must also be given to DJ Mikey Mike from South Florida's Voice of the Caribbean 101.5 FM HD2 and 96.9 FM, who set the atmosphere ablaze before the curtain opened and during intermission with a musical selection that kept the venue vibrant and energized. DJ Mikey Mike also served as Enoxh’s official DJ for the performances, helping to create memorable moments throughout the weekend.
Whirlwind Live Performances must be commended for once again bringing quality Jamaican theatre and Caribbean culture to South Florida audiences in a professional and impactful way. The continued support from the Caribbean community proves that the love for authentic stage plays and live performances remains strong.
Special thanks also go out to every patron, supporter, sponsor, and member of the production team who came out and contributed to two successful and memorable nights of entertainment.
