Notis Records at it again with release of ‘Free Spirit’ a reggae riddim with modern twist

Notis Records, a leading reggae music label based in Jamaica, release their latest riddim titled Free Spirit on Friday, May 26.

The riddim is a modern twist on the classic reggae sound, featuring live instruments such as drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and horns.

Free Spirit Riddim features various artists such as ZaMunda, Heavyweight Rockaz, Qyor, Kumar, Bugle & Spragga Benz, Tony Rebel & Abatau, Nattali Rize & Irie Souljah, Imeru Tafari, Medisun, Mackeehan, Miztrizz, Ras – I, Big Ras, Shuga, Azizzi Romeo and Iba Mahr.

“This Riddim was created during the pandemic a time when in Jamaica we had no movement days and lock down at 6 pm. On one hand it was disruptive but on the other hand it also allowed me as Unga Barunga to be creative and as a result of that experience I was able to produce this Riddim,” said Unga Barunga.

Notis Records is a production company that specializes in reggae music and sound design. The company was founded by Unga Barunga and Wayne \”Unga\” Thompson, who are also part of the band Heavyweight Rockerz. Notis Records has produced hits for artists such as, Busy Signal – Come Over, Chronixx – Access Granted, Iba Mahr – Diamond Sox, HeavyweightRickaz & Jesse Royal – Sweet Sensation, Ding Dong & Chevaughn (Qyor) Holiday, amongst others .

Free Spirit Riddim is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and SoundCloud.
