Broward County’s Tax Collector’s Office will again offer the one-day Express Drop-Off Service for early tax payments on Thursday, Nov. 30th from 10AM to 4PM at the rear entrance of the County’s Main Government Center, 115 S. Andrews Ave., in Fort Lauderdale. This service allows taxpayers to avoid long lines inside the Main Governmental Center.

The rear entrance of Broward County’s Main Governmental Center can be accessed from the parking lot on Brickell Ave., on the west side of the Main Government Center. There will be signs to the Express Drop-Off table, where County staff wearing official shirts and badges will be on hand to collect tax payments by check only, along with your current tax bill. Other payment methods are accepted inside the Tax Collector’s Office inside the Main Government Center.

To submit tax payments by Express Drop-Off service on Nov. 30th:

  • Payments must be made by check only (personal or certified), no cash or credit card payments can be made at the Express Drop-Off.
  • Payments must be for current 2017 tax bills only. No delinquent tax payments can be accepted.
  • Have your 2017 current tax bill with you. Your bill will be stamped and returned to you as proof of your payment receipt.
  • Only full payment of the amount due will be accepted. No partial payments can be accepted.

Taxpayers without their tax bill, making payments by credit/debit card or cash, or making partial tax payments cannot use the Express Drop-Off Service, but can still make payments inside the Tax Collector’s Office on Nov. 30th.

For the fastest and most convenient way to pay your tax bill, visit broward.county-taxes.com to make an online payment of your 2017 tax bill by eCheck, credit or debit card. Payments by eCheck are free; payments by credit or debit card are charged an online convenience fee.

After November 30th, 2017, the Tax Collector’s Office will continue to accept your current tax payment through March 31st, 2018. Payments can also be made at any Wells Fargo Bank in Broward County with a copy of your tax bill.

All property taxes not paid by March 31, 2018 become delinquent and subject to additional interest and fees.
