Jamaican dancehall singer Tatik has always had a love for music. It came as no surprise when he ventured into the music world. His father and his older brother are both musicians which inspired him to do the same. The artiste, who placed fourth in the 2017 staging of the talent competition Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall is always finding ways to propel his career.
CNW had the opportunity to sit down with the upcoming singjay to find out more about his passion and his musical journey.
How did you start your musical journey?
Growing up around music instruments and computers I started out with making beats and that’s how I ended up becoming a singjay.

I am an individual who is hardworking, multi-talented in music that loves to read.
What is your creative process like?
Through reading, recording and singing in different styles just to hear what sound works best for a specific song, that’s what my creative process is like.
Tell us about your single Return If Possible?
It’s a relatable song that you can vision while listening to it. A song that would get anyone emotional because everyone must have a friend or family that passed away that they loved.
What’s one message you would give to your fans?
No matter how hard life gets just don’t give up. It’s okay to start over and you’re starting over with a little more experience.
What’s next for you?
I have a lot of unreleased songs with great messaging. I am always singing about interesting topics so expect a lot of creativity. My latest song Leggo Mi Ears is produced by me (Skyviews Ent) and Minto Play Da Riddim. The beat was made by me. Hopefully a remix with dancehall artiste Valiant should take place for the song as well.
