Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Sunrise Sportsplex on December 11th

SUNRISE, Florida – The Grand Opening of the City’s newest park – the Sunrise Sportsplex – is set for Wednesday, December 11th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Come explore the facility and enjoy refreshments, giveaways and family fun!

The great amenities at the Sunrise Sportsplex include:

  • Pinwheel of four youth baseball/softball fields
  • Four batting cages
  • Pitcher’s warmup area
  • Two-story concession building/scorers’ tower
  • Natural-grass multipurpose field
  • Large covered playground
  • Butterfly garden and natural wetlands

The construction of the Sunrise Sportsplex was funded through the City’s voter-approved general obligation (GO) bond referendum.

The Sunrise Sportsplex is located at 9101 NW 50th Street, next to Westpine Middle School and across from Banyan Elementary School.
