The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) said Corporals Kirk Frazer and Rhamone Scott are to be charged with nine offences arising out of the controversial shootings in Chedwin Park, Spanish Town, south-east of here on April 27.

According to preliminary reports, the drama began after Sheldon Daley, alias ‘Junior Biggs”, was fatally shot by three men. An off duty policeman who witnessed Daley’s shooting, began pursuing the get-away vehicle with the three men.

The car later crashed into another vehicle and following the crash, one of the men was found dead on the scene, while another was found unconscious in the vehicle.

In a statement, INDECOM said Frazer and Rhamone will also be charged jointly with seven offences.

Corporal Scott is to be charged separately with two other offences.
