This fun filled event is extended to Excelsior past and present students their families and friends.  It’s a part of a three-day weekend event themed DESTINATION Florida and includes four fun filled, entertaining family oriented events over the entire weekend. These include sporting activities – football, netball, relays and other field events.

DESTINATION Florida is a part of The Excelsior Alumni Association of Florida’s XLCR Linkup.  As the alumni seek to bridge the gap of the years it recognizes the importance and dedication of fellow Excelsiorians taking part in this yearly venture.  The alumni’s goal is not just to raise funds for Excelsior High School but is always for past and present students to connect and reconnect in a family environment while keeping the spirit of the high school’s motto Age Animo “Do it with thy mightand fully interpreting the school’s name Excelsior which means “yet higher”

In a statement the alumni association said, “Yet Higher we strive to keep the love and union of our initial connection, our home away from home, our school, Excelsior High.  Too often we lose contact with the people we spent most of youth with. It is our goal to try to keep the link.  With our location in mind, Florida “The Sunshine State”, we strive to make DESTINATION Florida not just memorable but invaluable.

We are very big on giving back as we feel success foster from our early years in life. With the success we have had, we’re proud that we have been able to sponsor/donate tuitions, uniforms, books and lunches to the high school.  We are extremely excited about the coming event as we have been getting positive feedback and support from our community and our past and present students.
