In keeping with the theme of providing a Legacy in Action, The Carrie Meek Foundation in Miami will be conducting a number of community outreach meetings. The meetings are free and open to the public. The first of these meetings will take place in January on the following dates, times and locations:
- Monday, January 22, 2018 –6:00 p.m. – Charles Hadley Park – 1300 NW 50th Street – Miami, FL, and
- Monday, January 29, 2018 – 6:00 p.m. – Sherbondy Village Community Center – 215 Perviz Avenue – Opa-locka, FL
“We invite interested persons to attend one of these meetings to learn more about the Carrie Meek International Business Park that is under construction at the Miami Opa-Locka Airport,” said Tony Crapp, Sr. Executive Director of The Carrie Meek Foundation, Inc. “The business park development includes an Amazon Fulfillment Center and these meetings will provide information regarding the Foundation’s workforce development program including job readiness training.”
Among the main topics that will be addressed include:
- Business Park Development including the Amazon Fulfillment Center
- Workforce Development Program including Job-Readiness Training
- Community Benefits from the Development
