One of the organizers, Valencia Gunder of Liberty City from the activist group New Florida Majority said for too long balck women have been left out of the conversation related to these issues and that cannot be allowed any longer. She said it s necessary to remobe the perception that if someone is a woman, poor and bkack that person has three strikes against them. She said, poor, black women are “also voters and pay taxes.”
