Schools in Broward will open on Monday with some important changes regarding school meals. While universal free lunches have ended, parents must now apply for free or reduced-price lunch programs if eligible.
Broward schools will offer “Power Up Menus” for breakfast and lunch, providing a balanced selection including an entrée, grain, fruits, and milk. Broward Schools’ high school students helped hand-pick many of the items that will appear on breakfast and lunch trays.
