Scheduled to run from August 14 to September 21, this electrifying tournament promises six weeks of cricketing action, celebrating the best talent from across the Caribbean and beyond.

Collaboration with CWI ensures top talent participation

This carefully chosen timeframe, coordinated with Cricket West Indies (CWI), guarantees no overlap with international fixtures, ensuring the availability of the region’s premier players. CPL Chief Executive Officer Pete Russell expressed his enthusiasm for the arrangement, noting its critical role in preserving the league’s appeal.

“Following our most successful season to date in 2024, we are eager to build on that momentum for 2025,” said Russell.

CWI acting CEO and COO Lynford Inverary echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the league’s central role in Caribbean cricket. “The CPL is a vital component in the regional cricketing ecosystem, fostering growth and showcasing talent across the Caribbean,” Inverary stated.

The alignment, he added, demonstrates a strategic partnership that serves both the league and the West Indies’ broader cricketing goals. “This collaboration ensures the best players are available while maintaining alignment with our international commitments,” Inverary remarked.

Their memorable triumph over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in last year’s final in Guyana added a thrilling chapter to CPL history. With fans eager for a repeat of last year’s intense competition, the 2025 season is shaping up to be a true celebration of Caribbean cricket.

The CPL has grown into a cornerstone of the region’s cricket calendar, blending explosive performances with vibrant culture and fanfare. As the tournament dates approach, cricket enthusiasts across the globe will no doubt be counting down to August for another unforgettable season.
