In a dominant display of skill and determination, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force emerged triumphant against the Windward Islands Volcanoes in the West Indies Championships.
Led by unbeaten half-centuries from captain Joshua Da Silva and Jyd Goolie, the Trinidad team secured a convincing six-wicket victory.
“Our performance today was a testament to our collective effort and focus,” stated Red Force captain Joshua Da Silva. “We knew the importance of this match, and everyone contributed to our success.”
It’s a satisfying win
Despite early setbacks with the dismissals of Bryan Charles and veteran batsman Jason Mohammed, Goolie’s resilient unbeaten 90, complemented by Da Silva’s composed 53, guided the Red Force to victory. Their partnership laid the foundation for the team’s triumph before Goolie retired hurt.
“We executed our game plan effectively and stayed disciplined throughout,” remarked Jyd Goolie. “It’s a satisfying win for us, but we know there’s more work to be done in the upcoming matches.”
The Windward Islands Volcanoes struggled to break through the Red Force’s determined batting line-up, as four different bowlers shared the wickets. With this win, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force solidified their position in the West Indies Championships standings, setting a positive tone for future matchups.
