Commitment to regional priorities
Dr. Barnett reaffirmed the Secretariat’s unwavering dedication to administering CARICOM’s core priorities. These priorities, integral to the region’s prosperity include deepening economic integration and trade, strengthening foreign policy coordination, and regional security.
Pursuing free movement by March 2024
A significant milestone on CARICOM’s agenda is the implementation of free movement for all CARICOM nationals within the community.
Dr. Barnett said the focus is now on efforts to implement the free movement of all CARICOM nationals within the Community by March 2024 as determined by Heads of Government.
