Opting to bowl after winning the toss, West Indies Women “A” displayed exceptional bowling prowess, restricting Thailand Emerging to a mere 46 runs in 14.2 overs. In response, West Indies successfully chased down the target in 13 overs with five wickets to spare.

Qiana Joseph (11 runs, 17 balls, 1 boundary), Shabika Gajnabi (10 runs, 26 balls), and Trishan Holder (10 runs, 13 balls, 1 boundary) contributed with modest scores, which proved to be sufficient for West Indies to secure the victory. Thailand Emerging, attempting to disrupt the chase, managed to pick up wickets in quick succession, with Thipatcha Putthawong taking two wickets, while Phannita Maya, Sunida Chaturongrattana, and Onnicha Kamchomphu each claimed one wicket.

In the bowling department, West Indies bowlers were highly effective, with left-arm spinner Qiana Joseph and right-arm pacer Jannillea Glasgow both securing three wickets each. Right-arm pacer Jahzara Claxton claimed two wickets, while off-spinner Sheneta Grimmond and fast bowler Cherry-Ann Fraser each took one wicket.

Sunida Chaturongrattana was the sole batter from the Thailand Women Emerging team to reach double digits, contributing 12 runs from 26 balls, including one boundary.

In the upcoming match of the T20 tri-series, Thailand Women Emerging will face Pakistan Women “A” on November 5. West Indies “A” Women’s convincing win sets a positive tone for the remainder of the tournament.
