Jamaican-American attorney Chioma Deere, a Trusts & Estates lawyer at Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas (SSRGA), was recognized at the 6th Annual International Career and Business Alliance (ICABA) Salutes Women of Impact event held on June 21, 2025, for her outstanding contributions as a legal professional and community advocate.
Deere was one of 15 distinguished Black women honored during the daylong Lifestyle Summit in Fort Lauderdale, where she also participated as a panelist in the Legacy and Wealth Building session. As a Trusts & Estates attorney, she has been celebrated for driving change, breaking barriers, and championing the success of fellow business leaders across various industries.
“Being honored among such highly accomplished women is deeply humbling,” said Deere. “It’s a privilege to use my voice and my platform to inspire others, while empowering families and the greater community to protect and grow their legacy.”

Robin I. Bresky, managing partner of SSRGA’s Boca Raton office, praised Deere’s leadership and dedication. “Chioma embodies the kind of leader and advocate our profession needs more of. She leads with integrity, lifts others up and brings genuine passion to everything she does, both in the courtroom and in the community. We’re proud to have her at our firm.”
Beyond her legal practice, Deere actively engages in professional and community organizations. She holds memberships in the Palm Beach County Black Chamber of Commerce, the Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. She serves in leadership roles within the Palm Beach County Bar Association and is an officer with the West Palm Beach Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Additionally, Deere sits on the philanthropy committee for the Palm Health Foundation and is an advisory board member for Changing How Individuals Prosper (CHIP), a fintech company focused on financial planning.
Prior to joining SSRGA, Deere founded and managed Deere Law Firm in West Palm Beach, focusing on estate planning, asset protection, and wealth preservation strategies.
A native of Jamaica raised in the Bronx, New York, Deere earned her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 2006. She began her legal career as a law clerk at a boutique litigation firm in Palm Beach County, quickly developing expertise as a trial attorney handling a broad range of commercial and civil litigation cases, with a primary focus on defense.
Chioma Deere is admitted to practice law in Florida, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
