JetBlue is expanding its Caribbean service with the addition of six new flights from its hub at the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico.
Starting in October, the airline will offer a weekly service between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Santiago in the Dominican Republic, as well as new routes to Westchester County, New York, and Providence, Rhode Island.
Moreover, JetBlue will provide four weekly flights between San Juan and Medellín, Colombia, and three weekly flights to Cancún, Mexico.
The airline will also resume flights between Puerto Rico and St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands on December 12, with a weekly service on that route.
Premium “Mint” service on daily San Juan-JFK flight
In a move to elevate passenger experience, JetBlue will introduce its premium “Mint” service on a daily flight between San Juan and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) starting in July.
The “Mint” service includes lie-flat seats and an upscale dining experience, catering to travelers seeking comfort and luxury.
Strengthening ties with the Puerto Rican community
JetBlue has maintained a strong presence in the Puerto Rican community for over two decades.
The airline aims to deepen its roots with this latest expansion, reinforcing its commitment to connecting Puerto Rico with key destinations while bolstering its presence in the region.
New opportunities in the southern Caribbean
Further expanding its reach in the Caribbean, JetBlue will launch a new service from JFK to the Argyle International Airport in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this fall.
The airline is also seeking approval to commence flights from JFK to Bonaire’s Flamingo International Airport.
Adding St. Vincent and Bonaire to JetBlue’s extensive network aligns with the airline’s strategy to tap into markets with limited competition but high demand.
The new routes offer travelers greater accessibility to the Southern Caribbean while enhancing JetBlue’s position as a leading carrier in the region.
