Strategic engagements to boost tourism

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, was part of an initiative by Minister Bartlett to reconnect with key airline partners and explore strategies to enhance the number of visitors from the U.S.

This discussion confirmed that Jamaica continues to be a preferred destination among travelers from several major states in the U.S.

JetBlue’s operational footprint and its commitment to Jamaica

Operating from its headquarters in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, New York City, JetBlue conducts over 1,000 daily flights.

The airline services 100 domestic and international destinations across the Americas and Europe, emphasizing its extensive operational scale.

Minister Bartlett highlighted the airline’s critical role in connecting Jamaica to a broad network of destinations, which is vital for the island’s tourism growth and revenue.

Ongoing marketing efforts and future plans

The discussions with JetBlue form a part of Minister Bartlett’s extensive marketing campaign in the U.S., which includes stops in New York, Chicago, Illinois, and Dallas, Texas.

The aim is to fortify partnerships with airlines like JetBlue to help increase the number of tourists traveling to Jamaica.
