GoldenEye, the iconic Jamaican resort once home to James Bond creator Ian Fleming, is turning its storied north coast estate into an unforgettable summer playground for kids. This year, the resort will host the first-ever Little Barefoot Summer Camp, a six-day adventure-filled program designed for children ages 5 to 10.
Set to run August 3–8, 2025, the camp blends hands-on eco-learning, island folklore, and cultural crafts — all against the lush backdrop of GoldenEye’s 52-acre tropical haven.
Little Barefoot offers much more than traditional camp fun. From guided nature walks through gardens teeming with rare birds and orchids to observing Hawksbill sea turtles nesting along the coast, campers will connect with Jamaica’s natural world in meaningful ways. August happens to fall within the island’s turtle nesting and hatching season, giving kids a rare chance to witness these magical moments firsthand.
A highlight of the program includes a session with Travis Graham, head of the GoldenEye Foundation, who will walk campers through the resort’s ongoing sea turtle conservation work along Gibraltar Beach — where up to 20,000 hatchlings are released each year.
The program also dives deep into Jamaican culture. Campers will learn to make dolls and bracelets using Calico, explore the pulsating rhythms of Nyabinghi drumming with a local Rastafarian master, and experience interactive storytelling led by acclaimed Jamaican performer Amina Blackwood Meeks, who brings Caribbean folklore to life with traditional instruments.

Afternoons mean water play at Low Cay Beach, where kids can snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, or take glass-bottom boat rides under trained supervision. Evenings wind down with movies and classic s’mores under the stars.
The Little Barefoot Summer Camp is available exclusively to GoldenEye guests and residents. The cost is $1,500 per child for the full six-day session (accommodation not included). Space is limited, and reservations are required.
