Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has announced a new seasonal nonstop route by Frontier Airlines connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) with Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) in Aruba.

The service is set to begin on May 24, 2025, operating once weekly on Saturdays through August 16, 2025, during Aruba’s peak summer travel season.

Although Frontier Airlines already serves Aruba from other U.S. cities, this marks its first route from Atlanta, expanding the airline’s presence in the Caribbean and strengthening air connectivity between Aruba and key U.S. leisure markets. With this addition, Frontier becomes the 29th airline to serve Queen Beatrix International Airport.

The flights will be operated using an Airbus A321 aircraft, providing 230 seats weekly between Atlanta and Aruba. This new service complements Delta Air Lines’ existing twice-daily flights on the route, increasing capacity and offering travelers more options for direct travel.

Frontier’s expanded network from Atlanta also connects passengers to major U.S. cities such as New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Cleveland, broadening Aruba’s accessibility to a wider audience and supporting long-term route sustainability.

In 2024, Aruba Airport recorded 1.11 million U.S. revenue-generating passengers, with 7% coming from Atlanta. So far in 2025, 9% of U.S. travelers arriving in Aruba originated from ATL, underscoring the importance of the Atlanta market. As the busiest airport in the U.S. and a key Southeastern hub, ATL is a strategic point for expanding travel options.

“We’re excited to welcome a new airline operating from ATL, one of the busiest hubs in the U.S., which enhances connectivity with several large markets,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority. “Frontier becomes the 29th airline to serve Aruba and now offers 16 nonstop routes to the U.S., joining all major American carriers at our airport. These new flights reflect the strong and growing demand from airlines seeking to expand their service to Aruba.”

This new route signals growing confidence in Aruba’s tourism market and provides travelers from the Southeast U.S. with more convenient access to the island’s famed beaches and attractions.
