Unbeaten and unrelenting! USA U19s surge ahead in Rising Stars Championship

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — The United States Under-19s-1 team has emerged as one of the standout forces in the 2025 CWI Rising Star Men’s U19 Championship, remaining unbeaten after three commanding victories that have firmly planted them atop the tournament standings.

With a total of 12 points and a formidable net run rate (NRR) of +1.292, the young Americans have consistently outperformed their rivals, tallying 664 runs scored while conceding just 556 runs across their matches. Their all-round dominance has not only turned heads but also signaled their growing stature in regional cricket.

Barbados U19s in hot pursuit

Hot on their heels are the equally unbeaten Barbados Under-19s, also with 12 points but boasting the tournament’s most imposing NRR of +2.853. With explosive batting displays and clinical bowling spells, the Barbadian side has made it clear that they intend to contest every inch of ground with the Americans.

Their dominance has kept the championship tightly contested at the top, setting the stage for a thrilling climax in the race to the title.

Windwards hold steady in third

The Windward Islands Under-19s remain within striking distance, sitting third on the points table with 10 points. Though they have two wins to their name, a respectable NRR of +0.090 keeps them in contention, especially if either of the front-runners falters.

The Windwards have shown flashes of brilliance but will need a surge in both consistency and net run rate to mount a serious challenge for the title.

Mid-table traffic jam: Jamaica, T&T, Leewards scrapping for ground

Further down the table, a fierce battle brews among Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Leeward Islands, each locked on four points. With narrow margins separating their positions, the fight for a top-four finish is heating up, and every match carries added weight.

For these teams, the pathway to the semi-finals will require not only victories but emphatic ones to boost their net run rates and outpace their close rivals.

USA U19-2 and Guyana search for breakthrough

At the bottom of the standings, USA Under-19s-2 and Guyana remain winless, struggling to find their footing in a fiercely competitive tournament. With time running out, both teams will be eager to salvage pride and find form as the championship progresses.
