Trinidad and Tobago’s initial setback came when Méndez scored in the 13th minute, and they narrowly avoided falling further behind when goalkeeper Denzil Smith made a diving save to deny Rubio Méndez’s long-range volley in the 27th minute. However, they couldn’t prevent the second goal, as Santis’s shot found the net off the post.

In other Group A matches, Panama defeated Curaçao 2-1, and Martinique secured a 1-0 victory over El Salvador in Fort-de-France.

In League B, Barbados faced a tough loss, suffering a 5-0 defeat to the Dominican Republic after trailing 3-0 at halftime. Meanwhile, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) were defeated 4-1 by French Guiana at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, with SVG trailing 3-1 at halftime.

Barbados is currently at the bottom of Group B with three losses in as many games, while SVG leads Group C with six points despite their first loss in the competition.
