Reggae Boy Magee moves to Colorado Springs in USL

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks have agreed on a deal with Reggae Boy Tyreek Magee for the remainder of the United Soccer League (USL) championship season.

The highly skilled 23-year-old left-footed midfielder has moved from Belgian Pro League club KAS Eupen where he made five appearances off the bench.

“I’m excited to be in Colorado Springs with the Switchbacks this season,” said in a s]club statement.

“I’m excited to use my qualities to help make the team better.”

Switchbacks Head Coach Stephen Hogan is elated to have the player join his side which made the semi-finals of the USL Championship last season when they lost to eventual champions San Antonio FC.

“Tyreek is a young player who has played at the top level in Belgium. He’s coming back to the States to hopefully make a statement. His work ethic and ambition for his career goy us interested in him.

“He is a very creative player with great vision and awareness. I’m excited to see him progress here and contribute to our success.”

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks currently lie in second place in the Western Conference on 16 points, only two behind leaders Sacramento Republic FC. They have won four of their last five games and will host El Paso Locomotive FC at Weidner Field on Friday.
